Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #32

1.  Embossing
2.  Use any floral image from PTI
3.  Spring colors

Easy and fun challenge!  I loved Amy's card, it must have stuck in my mind more than I thought.... I honestly had this challenge written down from weeks ago, made the card yesterday and was surprised when I saw how similar my colors/theme were to Amy.   I used PTI Delightful Dalia stamped in Versamark and embossed with white powder.  Rhinestones in the centers, PTI die cut, DeNami Mom stamp, a pinch of glitter around the label.  Perfect card for my mom --- just because!!

Card Aisle Inspiration --- Laurie's Challenge

Laurie has a fun challenge for us on her blog.  I chose to use a Thank-You card that I purchased from Michael's.  I found a pack of 8 of these for $1.  My sister loves yellow, so I bought them to give to her.

I used Stampin Up textured yellow paper that I received as a gift from a SU stampin buddy in CA.  Thanks again friend! Embossed the DeNami Cherry Blossom Garland  using versamark and white powder. Grey scrap mounted onto a white piece of cardstock with the contempo thank you stamp.  It's Monday, and my MOJO is lagging, so my card looks almost exactly the same as the inspirational card..  No creativity needed on this one.  Thanks again to Laurie for hosting this fun challenge, it inspired me to make a card this afternoon!

Off The Wall Craftiness #49 Color Challenge

I love Off The Wall Craftiness Color Challenges.  Normally I can take the colors and create a quick card in NO time.  This combination was SUPER challenging for me.  My cards kept looking like something Ronald McDonald would like.  I am posting both of my cards, even though I don't "love" either of them.... enjoy!  Next week will be Challenge #50 --- I'm ready for some new colors. ;-)
Both cards use Wilson Design Stamps.  I am so excited to finally own some of them!!! I used Simply Silhouettes and Everything's Owlright.  DeNami Red and Lime Green Grosgrain Ribbon.

Lilacs for PDCC74

Play Date Cafe Challenge #74 Turquoise and Purple.... Gorgeous!!! I was instantly inspired by the color combo, and loved the potted plants hanging on the wall.

I used the Lilacs in Pitcher stamp from  Lockhart Stamp Co. Colored in real quick with my copics.  I used Lovely Lilac Cardstock... I've had it for 12 years or so, it's about time to use it up!  Broke into some new patterned paper from My Minds Eye - Stella Rose, Hazel Paper Pad. DeNami purple button, twinery twine. Fun ribbon, and of a doily. Are you sick of purple and doilies yet?  Seems to be my thing lately!  Happy Friday! Hope you have something FUN planned!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Chickie Easter Basket

Product Spotlight Time~ We are showcasing the sweet chickie easter basket today on the DeNami Blog.   1st off, I must give full credit to Laurie for inspiring me with her beautiful card.   I used the same layout, it was perfect for the easter basket stamp...  thanks Laurie!
I used lavender cardstock and stamped the polka dot background with versamark The Easter Basket is stamped in Versafine Smoky Grey, and Happy Easter is Purple Brilliance. I scored lines above and below the basket, hard to see in the picture.  The fabulous pink grosgrain ribbon was tied doing Paulina's Fancy Bow - she has a video if you need to see it.   Tombow markers, rhinestones, and DeNami Extra Fine Glitter added the finishing touches.
Make sure you visit the DeNami Blog to see the other cards the Design Team came up with.  Also, there is an Easter Card Kit and stamp bundle you can purchase if you love this stamp!

CR84FN Color Challenge #20

CR84FN Color Challenge #20 - I had to play along.... I LOVE purple!  I dug out my DeNami Lilac stamp and colored away with my copics.   Turned out a bit bluer than the plum colors in the PTI Guidelines Paper, but close enough for me.  I even did some machine stitching around the smaller panel, I need to use a darker thread next time so it shows better.  OH, and this stamps is less than $10, I just noticed it is being retired.

Brave Scrapbook Page - 1st timer!

I'm a sketch challenge junkie when it comes to card making, but I don't think I've ever used one for a scrapbook layout.  Jinny is always using such fun sketches with her pages.  I decided to give one a try.  I used the Paper Variety Sketch.
Little Yellow Bicycle Twig Collection used again on this layout.  My son had his adenoids out, the pictures aren't that great, he does look so little in that huge hospital bed though!

DeNami Product Challenge: Rhinestones!

I always love the DeNami Challenges, but this is one of my favorites so far === RHINESTONES===
You can see all of the fabulous Design Team Cards on the DeNami Blog.
I used the small umbrella to create some decorative paper, and added in some blue swirls dots.  I actually enjoyed coloring in these cute little umbrellas, and topped them off with a small rhinestone.  Perfect way to add a little bit of bling.  Hope you have some rhinestones laying around so you can participate with us!

Supplies:
Stamps: Large Dot Swirls, Just a Note, Stitched Rectangle, Small Umbrella.
Cardstock: White, Magenta
Misc: Tombow Markers, Rhinestones.

Play Date Cafe #73 - DeNami

DeNami is the sponsor this week at The Play Date Cafe.
The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to DeNami!

I thoroughly enjoyed the DeNami Floral Frenzy Blog Hop a few days ago. I absolutely loved the card that Dana made, you can see it on her blog here.   When I looked at the colors for the Play Date Cafe Challenge, I just kept thinking about Dana's card.  I thought her color blocking technique with the white embossed floral image would be perfect.   I used the DeNami Cherry Blossom Stamp  and added some pretty rhinestones in the center of the flowers.  I also used a copic marker to highlight the inside of the leaves/flowers.  It doesn't show up in the picture, but it helped to give the image some dimension.  I thought these were pretty tough colors to use, so I'm excited to see how easy you all make it look!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Cherry Blossom
Cardstock: PTI Summer Sunrise, SU Perfect Plum, Bazzill Red Something, White.
Ink: Versamark with White embossing Powder
Misc: PTI ribbon, DeNami White Grosgrain 5/8 Ribbon, Rhinestones, Edge Distresser, Heat Gun.

CR84FN Color Challenge #19

A few weeks ago I was the lucky winner at CR84FN - I won the gorgeous stamp set and paper you see above.  So, I thought I would thank Mona and CR84FN and make a card using the stamps and paper.

As you can see, the colors for CR84FN this week are Aqua, Grey, & Steel Blue.  I really needed grey ribbon.... I was shocked to find out I have NONE.  I settled on using some vintage lace.  I love the stamps, and the paper, but I don't love this card.  Something seems to be off or missing.  Oh well, I gave it a shot! Love the button I found in my DeNami Aqua Bag of buttons though, and added a pretty rhinestone to the center.

ColourQ #76 Retro DeNami

These colors are SO fun --- I "had" to play along!! I love green, but I probably wouldn't have put these colors together on my own, that is why I love Color Challenges.  These colors are for the Colour Q Challenge #76.

Embossed background, glittery frame, ribbon, and pins --- I couldn't get them all to look good in my picture, so I settled on this one.  Hope you can see some of the details.  DeNami Solid Decorative Crest embossed in Lime Green Versacolor.  I used some old SU Ribbon and new Maya Road Leaf Pins.  DeNami Whimsical Frame and Happy Birthday.

OTWC #48 Congratulations

Pink - Blue - Yellow OTWC Colors this week are SO pretty.  I say this every week, but I think Kim ALWAYS has great color combos!   I originally wanted to do a springy/floral card, but I needed to make a baby card, so these colors worked perfectly.  I have several pregnant friends, so this card will go to one of them.  That reminds me, I need to start making some simple Thank-You cards for them.  I kept it simple, adding just a few touches to fancy it up a bit.  I added 2 score lines to hold up the elephants, but it doesn't show in the picture.   PTI polka dot ribbon matched perfectly with the Bitty Dots paper I used.  Both stamps are from DeNami: Elephant and Congratulations.

DeNami Blog Hop: Floral Frenzy

Welcome to the DeNami Blog Hop -- FLORAL FRENZY is the theme this month!  Hopefully you hopped from Ayana's Blog, if not you can start at the beginning of the hop HERE.
I have SO many pretty floral DeNami stamps, it was honestly challenging to choose! I settled on using this big and bold large hibiscus stamp.  I stamped it twice and cut it out, stuck some foam tape in between the layers to give it some dimension.  The leaves were cut out and stuck behind the flower, so easy and so pretty!

Your next stop is the super sweet and talented Michele at Studio MSG.
Make sure to leave a comment on every blog - 2 lucky winners will win a $20 DeNami Gift Certificate!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Large Bold HibiscusFicus Leaf,  Medium Polka Dots.
Cardstock: Lavender, Petal Pink, Celery.
Ink: Versamark, Orchid Brilliance, Spanish Moss Versafine.
Misc: Button, Twine

Wee Memories Challenge: Spring is near, Green in here!

Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge --- Spring is near, Green is here!

Sponsored by AnnaBelle Stamps.

I don't plan on sending out St. Patricks Day cards this year.... so I thought cup cake toppers were the perfect way to go for this challenge.  I pulled out my DeNami St. Patricks Day stamps, stamped in black, punched out with 7/8 circle punch, matted with 3 other sized circles.  Colored in with my tombow markers.  I bought bamboo forks at Walmart to adhere the circles onto.  I just used my trusty ATG tape gun to hold them together.  I made a sentiment banner for the front one.  NO glitter, I didn't want my kids eating any.  Next time I'm making vanilla cupcakes or something I don't like, I managed to sneak and eat 2 of these yesterday!  I did share the remainder with my sweet neighbors though.  My FAVORITE color is Green and I love Spring, so I can't wait to see what you make this week!  You have until Friday the 18th to participate.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Shamrock Chickie, Happy St. Patricks Day, Curly Shamrock, Lucky Irish Stamp Set
Cardstock: Lime, Emerald, White, Black
Misc: Circle, Scallop Punches, Black Versafine Pad, Tombow Markers, ATG tape, Bamboo Forks.

DeNami Product Spotlight - Spring Chicks

The DeNami Blog has a whole collection of pretty cards using these sweet little Spring Chicks...... so get check it out!!!
I chose pretty pastel colors for a spring feel.  Stamped the little chick set in Versafine Sepia Ink onto Cream Cardstock.  I matted the squares onto the Strawberry Freeze paper, but it lacked something.  I threw some rhinestones on and it just seemed to work.  Gotta love the grosgrain ribbon, so easy to tie, I use it on almost every card I make.   Hey, look... no purple on this one!!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Spring Chicks Set, Polka Dot Background
Misc: 5/8 Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Tombow Markers, Foam Tape.

DeNami Sketch Challenge #7 - Michele

I love sketch challenges, even more so when they are on the DeNami Blog.  This is the sketch that Michele came up with, I just flipped it up side down, it's just what my brain thought to do with it!  I used the polka dot background stamp with versamark to make polka dot paper, and the Happy Bird-day Chicks.  Added 3 rows of ribbon, and a bow tied with some Twinery twine and a button.   Hope you get a chance to play along!
Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Bird-Day Chicks, Polka dot background
Ink: Versamark and Versafine Black
Cardstock: Amethyst, White, Tangerine.
Misc: 5/8 Hot Pink Ribbon, 3/8 Lime Ribbon, 3/8 Robin Egg Blue Ribbon, Aqua Button, Twinery Twine, Spellbinders Die, Tombow Markers.

Wee Memories Challenge: Woodland Friends

Wee Memories Challenge this week is "Woodland Friends" - animals you would see in the woods.  Our sponsor this week is Serendipity Stamps. I made a tall and skinny notebook for This & That, just for fun. I used the Papertrey Ink notebooks and downloaded a template for the cardstock cover.

Such a fun theme, and with my large collection of cute DeNami animals it was hard to narrow it down.  I chose to use the owl trio stamp  and the owls stamp set.  I love this Decorative Paper from Crate Paper, I've been hoarding... so proud I finally used some of it!  I decorated the front of the notebook and tied a ribbon around it to keep it closed tightly.  Small rhinestones, felt die cut, stamped circle, SU and PTI ribbon, just goodies from my stash that seemed to match the patterned paper. My 6 year old found the notebook on my desk and has claimed it as her own, so glad she liked it!

Tuesday Trigger

Tuesday Trigger Time.  I love the yellow door in the photos, so I tried to re-create some of the lattice work using this SU die.  I took this hot pink flower off of a swimsuit a few summers ago, I knew I'd use it on a project sooner or later.  Simple, no stamping, but thoughtful none the less!
