Wee Memories Challenge: Paper Piecing

Wee Memories Challenge: Paper Piecing.

Sponsored by Tiffany Doodles. PRIZE: $15 Gift Certificate.

I chose this beautiful butterfly image to work with. Since it is a digi-image it was only $1.50. The best part is you can resize it to whatever size you need. I printed my butterfly out onto white paper 3 times.  My printer wouldn't allow me to use "fun" paper, so I had to work with white.  It worked out well though, I just added lots of color with my copics.  I cut out 2 full images, and then the top layer is a half of butterfly to add more dimension.  I added some pretty DeNami Extra Fine glitter with my quickie glue pen.  Attached the finished butterfly to layered yellow flowers I'd glued to a clip.  Looks great in my 6 year olds hair... she was my model. Hope you have the time to play along with us this week... you have until Friday May 13th.

DeNami Product Spotlight: Mother

DeNami Product Spotlight --- this gorgeous Mother Sentiment Stamp.  Perfect timing for the upcoming Mothers Day, but it really can be used year round for the special mom's in our lives.  Just in case you call your mom "mom" instead of "mother" DeNami also has a gorgeous Mom stamp.
I always think of the DeNami pansie stamps when I think of my mom, so I went with the purple AGAIN. I had fun making my own background paper, and coloring.  A few rhinestones and some pretty ribbon gave my card some added sparkle.
Make sure you head over to the DeNami Blog to see what my fellow Design Team Ladies have made.  I love how everyone used the same stamp, but they are all so different.
Supplies:
Ink: Versafine Purple, Versafine Black, Brilliance Lavender
Misc: Rhinestones, Iridescent Ribbon, Tombow Markers, corner rounder, foam tape.

Wee Memories Challenge: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Theme: Anything Girly.

Sponsored by Magnolia-licious. The Prize this week is 3 Mini Magnolia Stamps.

Love, Love, Love the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun theme this week.  Hope you play along!!!
Spring Break this week here in Vegas.  My son spent the week at hockey camp, so my daughter and I had lots of time together.  I have had this S in my stash  for way too long... its a paper one from JoAnne's I think.  I had Saryn pick out her choice of patterned paper and a coordinating paint color.  She painted the sides of the letter all by herself. I helped glue the paper on.  She had fun choosing what flower and button to add. A little twinery twine tied by me... otherwise she did it all!  She wanted "sparkles" on it, so we added some rhinestones to each butterfly.  It is now proudly displayed in her room.

A before shot of the "s" with my sweet 6 year old daughter and 1 year old puppy. Abby is always nearby, so she had to be in the picture too.  Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!!!

Wee Memories Challenge: All Things Adorable

Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge:  "All Things Adorable".

Sponsored by Your Next Stamp. The prize this week is a stamp set.

I was given this super cute Party Fhinoa stamp to work with.  She is adorable... and perfect for the challenge this week.  I used some large paper clips that were purchased at Walmart to make some bookmarks.  I used dies and punches to create the circles and sandwiched the paper clip between.

A bit closer of a picture, I added rhinestones to her tiara and extra fine glitter to give her some sparkle.

Perfect fit on the book.  She peaks out and looks adorable while saving the spot for my daughter.

DeNami Rainbow

Today is the beginning of our spring break.... so what better way to celebrate than with a rainbow card?  My buddy Paulina and I want you to know how fun this rainbow stamp is.... so we are both showcasing it today.  Make sure you head over to her blog to see what she did with the same stamp.
The Rainbow was stamped 3 times on the white cardstock, and again on some scrap paper so I could mask it.  I was able to stamp the polka dots over the rainbows this way.  The Cloud stamp was stamped on white cardstock and cut out, a lil foam tape makes them look puffy.  Some coloring, glitter and ribbon was all I added.

Cardstock: White, Red, Tangerine

Tuesday Trigger

Tuesday Trigger Photo. LOVE the color combo, so I used it.  That gorgeous Red Mirror is almost a perfect match for the frame I used, and I was inspired by the rocker --- so I stuck a chair in there!

Stamps are Simply Silhouettes from Wilson Designs... So glad I had them, worked so well with the trigger photo!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Whimsical Oval Frame

The Whimsical Oval Frame is the spotlight on the DeNami blog today.  The Design Team used it in so many fun and unique ways, you are going to want to visit the Blog to see it all!!!  I chose to use it as my background and focal image with some pretty tulips in the center. Perfect for Mother's Day or a Birthday.

Supplies:
Misc: 5/8 Pink Ribbon, Scalloped Oval Punch, Hole Punch, Tombo Markers, Quickie Glue Pen, Extra Fine Glitter

CR84FN Color Challenge

This card is made with the fabulous colors from CR84FN Color Challenge #23
Just a few of my favorite DeNami stamps used on this one.  The Filigree Centerpiece on the pink and the Decorative Crest Circle as the focal point.  I was lucky to find a glittery pink button in my stash... love my DeNami Buttons!
Sometime in the last few weeks I saw someone use the Filigree Centerpiece this way... technically I think it is sideways.... but I love it like this now.  Sorry I don't remember who to give the credit to, if it was you ..... let me know!

Wee Memories Challenge: Tangled up in Twine

The Twinery is the sponsor this week.  The prize is a 9 color sample pack of twine from The Twinery!

I'm in charge of making the April Teacher/Staff appreciation gifts for my children's school.  The school had these cute little pots to use up, so I planned around them.  I wanted to spray paint them white, but due to time I am leaving them green.  I purchased  See's Lollypops... hopefully a lil more special than a normal sucker would be.  A friend used her cricket to cut out the flowers.  I added a DeNami button to the center of each flower, and used my quickie glue pen to add twine around the button.  I tied 3 bows around the "stem" of the flower.  I used caribbean, pink sorbet,  lilac and lemondrop twine.

Super cute even without the pots.
This is what the back looks like.  You could sandwich another flower on the back if you wanted.
You have until Friday April 15th to make a project with Twine and add it to the Wee Memories Page.

Polka Dot Overload! Play Date Cafe Challenge #76

The Play Date Cafe Challenge colors this week scared me, until I found my favorite turtle and I felt right at home. This card came together quickly this morning, such a great way to start off a Friday!

I used a PTI stamp and die to create my focal point and stuck the DeNami Turtle in the center.  Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Stamp, Paper, and Turtle all have polka dots.... I just couldn't stop myself!!  I actually am in love with this color combo now, so glad I gave it a try.

WPlus 9 Color Cue Challenge #13

I almost missed the deadline to participate in Color Cue Challenge #13.  So glad I had the time this afternoon to whip up a quick card.  Whenever I see grey, I think of elephants, and the remainder of the colors seemed to work well for a baby boy card.  So I went with it.  I love the new brother & sister set, since I have an awesome sister.  I love this new label and die together, so simple and easy!  I used the polka dot elephant from DeNami in the center. PTI embossing folders. I'm still getting the hang of them, but I think I'm going to "need" more. Such a fun way to add texture.

My friend Paulina is giving away a $25 Visa Gift Card to one lucky winner --- check out her blog.

Wee Memories Challenge: Color Inspiration

Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge:  "Color Inspiration" ... your favorite colors, pictures, anything that is your color inspiration
We would also like to welcome Nerina to the Design Team for the month of April.

This week we are sponsored by Nikki Sivils.   Prize: Paper Pack and Buttons
I was provided the It's Your Day Collection to create with.

Today is also a blog hop day for us.... so you should be arriving from Vera's Blog.  If not, you can start from the beginning at Jenny's blog.
My sweet nephew turned 1 in December, so I thought these pictures would be perfect to use with the Birthday Papers and accessories.  I used stickers, cutouts, patterned paper, journaling cards, SO many fun elements to include, I tried not to use them all!!  The only thing that isn't from Niki Sivils is the blue cardstock I used as a base, the yellow scalloped layer behind the journaling, and the twine is from The Twinery.
You are at the end of the hop now....since my parents named me "Wendy", I'm normally the end of the line... but if you want to start from the beginning --- you need to go to Jenny's Blog... where you can find all of the Design Team's creations using different lines of these fun products.
I'm also entering this page into the Paper Variety's 1-2-3 Challenge.  I used 1 Banner, 2 Brackets, and 3 Twine Bows on my Layout.  What a fun and simple challenge!!
