Craft Dash and Play Date Christmas

One Card - Two Challenges. I haven't done that in FOREVER!

Time spent on the card 8 minutes and 15 seconds.  My coloring isn't perfect... I was feeling the pressure!
I used some DeNami stamps to create a festive Christmas and New Years card -- and made sure to use a bit of pink here and there so I could play along in the Play Date Cafe Challenge. Stamps Used Christmas New Years Greeting, berry vine sprig and decorative border.

Tuesday Trigger Card

Tuesday Trigger Time! Amazing what one little picture can inspire you to create. I'm so glad I took the time to participate in this challenge.

Where have I been hiding?  I honestly don't think I've ever used gold and silver together on a card.  I normally would do Gold OR Silver... but both?  I've been missing out!!
I stamped the large ornament using versamark and embossed in gold.  I used a stamp from the ornamental centerpiece set to pretty up the ornament.  One embossed in white, and one in gold.  I used a quickie glue pen to add some shimmery glitter to the stamped image and a rhinestone center.  Merry Christmas was also stamped in versamark and embossed using gold embossing powder.

DeNami Product Spotlight: Medium Pine

It's time for the very last Product Spotlight of 2012.
It's a perfect stamp for Christmas --- Medium Pine.

I stamped the Medium Pine Tree using Versamark onto navy cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The holiday cheer sentiment was stamped in Silver and I added some teeny stars around it. I tied a bow using the silver edged ribbon around the navy cardstock and adhered it to the white card front.  Super quick and easy!
Make sure you visit the DeNami Blog to see how the other design team girls used this stamp.

10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #7

Prize: $20 DeNami gift certificate
Colors: Sky Blue, Navy Blue, Kraft

Since Thanksgiving is in a few days, I'm onto the next holiday.  Christmas will be here before we know it! I stamped a Merry Christmas sentiment in Versafine Majestic Blue in the center of the Sky Blue Cardstock.  (I apologize that the saying is retired, I didn't realize it until I started to type up this post.) I stamped the berry vine stamp in Versafine Sepia around the saying.  This stamp is 10% off for one more day!  I used a light blue marker to fill in the leaves of the vine stamp, then used the quickie glue pen to fill in a bit, and dumped extra fine glitter over the card.  Added a bit of elegant bling.  Finished off with a navy blue 5/8 grosgrain bow.  I love these 10 minute craft dashes!  I must make a better effort to complete more of them.  A HUGE thanks to Paulina for hosting this challenge and letting me play along this week!

Time spent: 6 minutes and 24 seconds.

Thanks to DeNami Design for sponsoring the Craft Dash this week.  You could win a $20 Gift Cert.!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Berry Vine

Product Spotlight: Berry Vine.
I know I say this every time ... but isn't this a gorgeous stamp!?

I stamped the Berry Vine stamp in Versafine Olympia Green onto Sage cardstock.  It is a gorgeous image alone, but it is even better all prettied up with some glitter.  I used gamma green and cranberry glitter with a quickie glue pen.   I die cut a cream piece of cardstock and added the Wishing you peace and joy this holiday season using Versafine Crimson Red Ink.   I used the quickie glue pen to trace around the outside of the die cut to add some gold glitter.  Layered onto a large square burgundy card and kraft layer.   I think it would be pretty to frame, and change out the sentiment for a photo.  Thanks for stopping by!

The washi tape I used: pink chevron, teal chevron, and black stripes directly onto a white card.  I added black 5/8 grosgrain ribbon.   Upright Thank You sentiment stamped in black onto the white card base.  I used a corner rounder on the upper right corner.  Literally, you could recreate this card in under 5 minutes, but it's perfect for a quick thank-you.

DeNami Sketch Challenge #14 by Dana

Sketch Challenge #14 by Dana

I just couldn't put the yum yum sentiment where it should have been according to the sketch.  I didn't want to cover up the ice cream cone!  This seemed to work okay, so hopefully it's close enough.
I used the Ice Cream Stamp and stamped it a few times to make it a SUPER tall tower of ice cream.  Colored in with markers to coordinate with the pink and brown theme.
Hope you get a chance to try out this fun sketch!!
OH, in case you haven't heard.  10% OFF EVERYTHING online at DeNami  ---for the month of November!!!!
Cardstock: White, Pink, Magenta, Kraft and Chocolate.

Merry Christmas.... DeNami Style

Facebook fans chose the Poinsettia Vine stamp -- so it made my job of creating a pretty Christmas card easy.  Isn't it a gorgeous image?   Poinsettia Vines is a new cling stamp set that was released this summer.  It is a set of two, but I only used the larger image. I stamped it using Versafine Olympia Green ink.  I intended on using Red Glitter for the poinsettia centers, but it took away from the detailed image.  SO, I emphasized the dots of the image using a quickie glue pen and gamma green glitter.  This glitter matches the sage cardstock perfectly!  Other cardstock used: Red, White, Hunter.
I added the Merry Christmas sentiment in Versafine Red and the border stamp in Olympia Green to finish it off.   So, make sure you become a  DeNami Fan on facebook --- so you can choose what stamps we use in the future.  Happy Friday --- Have a great weekend!!

DeNami Classic Christmas

Thanks to those of you on Facebook that wanted to see us use this pretty Classic Christmas Stamp Set!!  Paulina made some SUPER cute treat boxes... I love the pattern she stamped using this set.
I stamped the pinecone in Versafine Sepia and the Evergreen Sprig and holly  leaves in Versafine Moss. The  holly berries looked "weird" stamped in the traditional red tones, so I changed it up and went with gold glitter.  This stuff A-MAZING in person!! I used the glue pad to stamp the berries and then sprinkled on the glitter.  SO pretty!  Merry Christmas Circle also stamped in Versafine Sepia.  Cardstock used: Kraft, Cream, Hunter, Chocolate, Irridescent Gold and Sage.

DeNami Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to the DeNami HALLOWEEN Blog Hop!
I'm 1st on the list - so you should be arriving straight from the DeNami Blog.

Okay, 1st off I must say this decorated tree is SO much cuter in my house... and not so cute in this photo. I had a VERY hard time capturing a photo in good light showing all of the little details. I apologize up front for the lack of an awesome photo.
I saw this Halloween tree on pinterest  and thought it would be fun to re-create one for my house.  I purchased the tree at Michaels for $10. You could easily spray paint limbs and stick into a fun container too!

I gathered some Halloween stamps and my daughter and I stamped, punched, colored, and glittered some spooky images.  I used embroidery floss to hang them onto my tree.
Stamps Used: ghost, 3 houses, bat,  Halloween stamp set, dotted circle.  The ghosts are stamped onto vellum so they look "real" and the others were stamped onto white and lime.
Your next stop on the hop is to visit TENIA's BLOG.  Enjoy hopping along! Make sure to leave comments along the way -- you have a chance to win a $20 DeNami Gift Certificate!

DeNami Apple Basket Card

DeNami Facebook Fans voted on what stamp they wanted to see featured this week. They chose the apple basket stamp.   I'm lucky enough to get to show you a simple card using this apple basket.  Perfect stamp for a fall themed card.  It's still hot here in Vegas, so my card is more colorful and would even work for a teacher note, or just because.
I stamped the apple basket and coordinating apple and leaf stamps in black ink.  Colored with copics, added some red rhinestones, and red twine.  I cut 3/4 of an inch off of the front of the card and lined the inside of the card with line green patterned paper.

Retro Sketches RS #32

Here is my card for Retro Sketches #32

I've always loved this Cherry Blossom Garland stamp.  I've posted a few others you can see here and here.  Seems to be the perfect fall floral stamp.  I stamped it using Versafine Sepia, colored in with copics, added colored pearls and then finished it off with some gold glitter.    Thinking of you was embossed in gold. A few cardstock layers later and a bit of PTI ribbon and I was done.
We are FINALLY cooling off here in Vegas.  It was in the 60's this morning, my kids put on hoodies to go to school.  Supposed to get up to 80's... perfect!!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Three Houses

Who owns some of this gorgeous glitter ribbon?  I haven't used any in awhile, I'm actually out of black!   I decided to give the silver a try.  I stamped the three houses stamp in black and then added some purple using a marker.  I stamped the Halloween fence  in black and the three winter trees in smoky grey.  Happy Halloween stamped in Versafine Purple.  Amethyst Card Base,

10 minute craft dash: Challenge #4

Thanks Paulina and Ginny for this awesome challenge! I  was so excited to see these fun colors!!
10 Minute Craft Dash: Challenge #4.

WPlusDesign Studio is the sponsor this week... so I figured this was a perfect time to ink up some of Dawn's gorgeous stamps.  I used Magical Moments & Backgrounds II.
I used a card Maile made recently for my layout.  The 6th one down in this post.
Total time start to finish 6 minutes and 10 seconds.
Happy Birthday is a DeNami stamp, stamped slightly crooked, whoops.    I added some extra fine glitter to the peacock feathers.

CAS-UAL Friday: Toot your own horn

CAS-UAL Friday s CFC72: Toot your own horn.

I love this theme! Blog headers are a peek into our personalities... so this card shows a little bit of "Wendy".

I used 2 DeNami stamps to creat the background. Medium Solid Filigree and  Solid Decorative Crest. I used some big green ribbon and  an embossed sentiment for my focal point. .

DeNami Color Challenge #11: By Deanna

DeNami Color Challenge #11.  Isn't this an absolutely gorgeous fall color combo?  We haven't quite officially hit fall yet here in Vegas. Still in the 90's during the day.  Lots of flip flop wearing ... but don't be too jealous.... we have to pay the power bill for the AC to run!

I love using this autumn stamp set to create fun background papers.  Super easy to stamp in black ink and add some color using markers. Quick and easy!  I added in a few elegant floral leaf sprigs to fill in the empty space.  Happy Thanksgiving sentiment in Sepia Versafine ink onto Kraft cardstock. I added some big brown buttons and twine.  Mounted it all onto an orange die cut shape that I stamped using the basic borders set.  I roughed and inked up the edge of the cream cardstock and mounted it onto a green cardbase.

In case you need your chickie fix for the day ----
I found this older card --- works for the color challenge too!
Hoping you are inspired by the colors -- join in on the fun!!

Happy Birthday to Nami -- Blog Hop

A very special Birthday Blog Hop for an Amazing Lady!
Hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nami!!
Hopefully you are arriving from Amy's Blog.  If not, start here.

NO pressure --- making a card for the talented woman that designs DeNami Stamps.  I used to get stressed out and fretted for hours over my cards. Majorly intimidated to even show Nami or Paulina my work.  Thankfully I'm a little bit more confident now.
I wanted to give Nami a sparkly, bright, cupcake card to wish her a Happy Birthday.  The Cupcake Tower stamp is perfect for the occasion.  I stamped it in black inside of the Cherry Pink Impress scallop oval.  The mini cupcake stamp and mini polka dot stamp go together to make a quick strip of patterned paper. I finished it off with some LIME Grosgrain ribbon.
The next stop on the hop is STACY.

10 minute craft dash challenge #2

SO excited to get a chance to participate in Paulina and Ginny's Challenge.
10 minute craft dash. I was SO scared! I totally cheated. I found a card in a stampin up catalog I liked, and recreated it.  Page 84 of the 2011/12 catalog.  I wasted tons of time searching for the correct colored markers, next time I will set a few coordinating colors out before I start the timer!
My time was 8 minutes and 32 seconds.

I used 3 DeNami stamps. Onesie, Congrats, and Decorative Borders.  Stamped in Black and PTI aqua mist.  I layered the white cardstock onto PTI aqua mist, distressed dots, and olive cardstock. I was in such a hurry I pulled the twine out, didn't bother to find an end, and cut from the middle. SO not like me!  I'm off to clean up my messy desk now! I didn't put things away as I created.  I'm looking forward to the next challenge!

DeNami Addict Challenge #5 & Retro Sketches #28

DeNami Addict Challenge #5.  This challenge is open until October 13th!!

I combined the Retro Sketch Challenge with the DeNami Addict Colors.  I love that so much of the decision making was done for me.  It made this one quick card!
I embossed the Mimi Image with white embossing powder onto charcoal cardstock.  Layered onto white, black and magenta cardstock. Finished off with a pretty 5/8 hot pink ribbon.    I had this fun zebra patterned paper left over from my daughters 8th birthday party invites.
